Robert (Bob) Allen Schroeder passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 12 noon from Ocular Melanoma. Bob was known for his great sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. He loved MGD, rock music and was a veritable encyclopedia of classic rock through the ages. He was a diehard Dodgers and Rams fan. NASCAR and the 48 car were longtime favorites and he loved watching the MECUM Muscle Car auctions. He always said, “Someone cool like me should be driving that car!” Both of his girls were Daddie’s Girls and he could always be found at soccer games and parades yelling the loudest when one of his daughters came into view. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Papa and Brother. He was always there ready to help and provide guidance as only he could. He had a huge heart within a long-haired, biker exterior. His mustache was legendary. He was so proud of his daughters and grandchildren… always and forever their biggest fan. He was so proud of the military service of his two oldest grandchildren and was the rock for his younger grandchildren, helping them navigate life with the importance of good grades along with fun times. P.S. He’s still watching those report cards! Bob was a longtime aerospace mechanic, having worked at Lockheed and Northrop during his career. He was also a school custodian for the Lancaster School District. Bob leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Kathy (Monahan), his oldest daughter Jennifer (Matt) Hashimoto, Grandchildren Justin Hashimoto and Amaya Hashimoto. Youngest daughter Stefanie Schroeder, and grandchildren Kaden Schroeder, Kaylah Schroeder, Desyrae Schroeder, Destanee Farley and little Davion Farley. Brother Michael Schroeder (Laurie) and Nephews Ean Schroeder (Stephanie), Alex Schroeder (Cindy), and Eli Schroeder and Sister Lisa Bolster (Tom). Thank you for all the laughs, jokes and music. We will love and miss you forever. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation, if inclined, to Bob’s charity of choice, St. Jude’s (see link below) and please get a dilated eye exam every year to rule out eye cancer. Oh, and tip a beer for Bob.
