Guadalupe Quintana Alfaro was born February 2, 1931 to Consuelo Marquez Quintana and Antonio Quintana in Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of 8 months, they moved to the United States. The oldest of three, her younger sister Candelaria Olid and brother Enrique Gutierrez. She was raised in Brawley, CA and later moved to Oxnard, CA where she raised her children. She was married to Ysidro P. Alfaro on December 17, 1951. After 69 years of marriage, Guadalupe left this world on August 13, 2020 at 89 years of age. She is survived by her husband and nine children; Alicia, Ysidro Jr., Antonio, Anita, Irma, Guadalupe, Francisco, Peter and Enrique. Her legacy lives on through them and the beautiful families that they have all created. We mourn the loss and celebrate the life of the matriarch of the Alfaro family. We hear your wise words of advice echo in every conversation. We feel your guiding hand in every recipe. You are and forever will be an irreplaceable figure in the history of our family.
