Colette D. Fisher, 89, of Lancaster, California, formerly of Acton, California, passed away after a recent hospitalization on September 7, 2020 at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in California. Born April 27, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, she was predeceased by her parents, Filmore W. and Hazel H. (Brow) Fisher, of Detroit, Michigan, and her late husband of 29 years, William L, of Phoenix, Arizona.
Colette graduated from the University of Michigan in 1954 with a B.A. in English. After raising her two daughters, she became an editor in the aerospace industry for nearly 2 decades before retiring and moving to Acton, California, where she lived for 36 years enjoying the exploits of her alma mater’s football team, the Michigan Wolverines.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Craig S.) Johnson of Canyon Country, CA and Cathleen S. (Banning Garrett) Fisher of Alexandria, VA, granddaughter, Jennifer (Samuel A.) Shepard of Canyon Country, CA, great-grandson Reagan S. Shepard of Canyon Country; CA, sister, Dolores (William) Swain, and brother, Lonnie (Blanche) Fisher.
Private services and burial will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, California.
